2019 New Style Thermal Expansion Joint - EH-800/800H Lateral Expansion Joint – Ehase-Flex Detail:

Universal expansion joint should be installed offset to absorb the movement. When installed, it must be at the fully extended length and at 90° to the movement. The tie rods can’t be adjusted or removed to ensure the proper functioning of the unite.
